Being a wonderful car, the F90 BMW M5 has made peace in the war between all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. The car can go AWD for owners who want excellent traction, but it also offers a true RWD mode for drift lovers.
As far as sheer power is concerned, however, there will always be motorheads who feel that their F90 M5 isn’t capable enough, even with more than 600 hp at its disposal. Fortunately, there’s always a way to boost its output through aftermarket modification.
The F90 M5 you see here is a perfect example. It has been tuned to become more potent than before, unlocking its hidden potential to deliver 830 hp. That amount of power far exceeds what is needed on the road. In other words, the modification has turned the sedan into a proper track monster, which apparently made the driver of the car confident to take it to a racing event.
But of course confident alone isn’t enough, especially in a drag race like this one where a number of other powerful beasts were also involved. In such an event, speed is the one thing that matters most.
If a 830-hp M5 sounds impressive enough to you, you have to know that there are other machines like a Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG that have been modified to make 990 hp. The CLS63 was the one that fought the M5 in the drag party after receiving its treatment from Russian tuner Gorilla Racing.
You can see the two started their show at the 7:40 point of the video below. But as we said before, this drag race was also attended by several other monstrous cars whose actions are absolutely worth checking. They include the 900-hp BMW M3 F80, 960-hp Nissan GTR R35 LBW Works, 950-hp GAD Mercedes E63s Estate, and 850-hp BMW M5 F90.
