2019 Honda Civic Pricing and Updates Detailed

Honda’s new Civic has received a refresh for both the Coupe and Sedan models. Cosmetic changes can be spotted. Features have also been updated for the 2019 model year. Scheduled to hit US dealerships next month, the 2019 Civic offers a new sport trim, Honda Sensing suite as standard, and several design updates on both the exterior and interior.

Among the exterior features that have been tweaked are the headlamps, which have been given a smoked appearance. Meanwhile, the “wing” on the grille now has gloss black accents. There are also new chrome accents on the Civic’s front bumper, as well as a chrome strip on the lower bumper of the sedan. Headlights have been specifically redesigned for the Touring trim to extend and widen its beam.

For the new model year, the Civic comes with three additional color options. Platinum White Pearl is available for both models, while Tonic Yellow Pearl is exclusive to the Coupe, and Molten Lava Pearl for the Sedan only.

Interior changes are subtle. You can find an upgraded Display Audio, which is standard from the Sport trim. A volume control has been added to the interface, as well as buttons to access main functions. Bluetooth has also been better integrated. All trims get their steering wheel controls revised to be more intuitive. A new center console insert with bigger cupholder is also standard.

For LX models and EX Coupe, dash trim is wrapped in gunmetal gray. As for EX, EX-L, and Touring sedans, the color is metallic. The Touring Coupe also gets the same metallic dash trim, while on Sport trims, it’s complemented by an embossed finish. The new Civic also uses more sound deadening materials to improve peace and comfort in the car.

The new Sport trim is slotted between the LX and EX. Its appearance is distinguished by Sport badging, bigger 18-inch wheels, Civic Si-inspired center chrome exhaust, and black decklid spoiler.

On the inside, additional features for Sport grade include red gauges, paddle shifter for CVT variants, aluminum sport pedals, a leather-wrapped shifter and steering wheel, and distinctive upholstery with a combination of artificial leather and cloth.

In terms of safety, the 2019 Civic is well equipped with Honda Sensing technology as standard, also an electric parking brake, Automatic Brake Hold, and a 7-inch TFT digital dash.

Dual-zone automatic climate control is standard on the Civic EX, while an eight-way power driver’s seat, leather-wrapped shifter and steering wheel is added to the Civic EX Sedan. The Touring grade gets 18-inch alloy wheels, sport pedals, and paddle shifter for CVT models.

The Civic Sedan and Coupe in LX and Sport grades packs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that develops 158 HP and 187 Nm of torque. The output is managed either via a CVT or six-speed manual transmission. The CVT variants of the Civic EX, EX-L, and Touring has a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering 174 HP and 219 Nm of torque.

The 2019 Honda Civic is priced from $20,345. With that money, you get the Sedan LX with manual gearbox. If the CVT-equipped Coupe LX is what you want, the price starts at $21,545. These prices include $895 delivery charge.
